When you are a member at Hawthorne Credit Union, your deposits are insured to at least $500,000. — The first $250,000 is federally insured by NCUA (National Credit Union Administration) and the next $250,000 is privately insured by ESI (Excess Share Insurance). This is the highest combination of federal and private deposit insurance available to consumers.
