HAWTHORNE CREDIT UNION Shares Holiday Spirit through "Little Friends Giving Tree" Program

 

(Naperville, IL December 13, 2007)  The staff and members of Hawthorne Credit Union recently demonstrated their holiday spirit by donating a wide range of gifts and toys to be distributed by Little Friends, Inc. (of Naperville) to help local children and adults with developmental, emotional or behavioral disabilities enjoy a more festive and happy holiday season.

Since Thanksgiving, Hawthorne CU's Naperville branch has displayed the Giving Tree adorned with tags bearing one gift request from a person served by Little Friends, Inc. Members and staff were encouraged to choose a tag from the tree, purchase and wrap the gift, and then return it by early December.  
 
Little Friends representative Morris T. Dolton recently stopped by and  collected the donated items.  "It's amazing to see the excitement and holiday spirit that the Little Friends Giving Tree program generates," said EJ Donaghey, Executive Vice President of Hawthorne.
